2018 With Katalyst Software Services Limited: A Year in Review

As the country collectively cleans up confetti and party horns, the team at Katalyst Software Services Limited is preparing for yet another year of growth while also reflecting on 2018. For Katalyst, 2018 was A Year in Review growth and achievement.

Highlights of 2018

  • Nixon Xavier began leading Katalyst Innovation division with the goal of enhancing customer service through incorporating AI and machine learning which led to the development of Casper, a pre-editing and copy-writing software
  • Katalyst expanded by acquiring two companies, Nova Techset and Panacea Infotech Pvt. Ltd.
    • Nova Techset increased Katalyst’s competence in e-publishing and suite of company products with their editing software, Casper, that is now fully integrated with Katalyst native software, EditGenie.
    • Panacea, Infotech Pvt. Ltd significantly enhanced and enlarged Katalyst’s talent pool to support and accelerate the company’s customers’ digital transformation.
  • Katalyst has developed new certifications:
    • NetSuite Alliance Partner Program
      • This collaboration enabled Katalyst to leverage its more than 15 years of experience of providing consulting services to promote, implement and customize NetSuite to its clients in multiple industries, including distribution and wholesale, manufacturing, retail, logistics and transportation.
  • SAP Partner Edge Program
    • This partnership allowed Katalyst to deliver SAP business all-in-one solutions to businesses throughout the US.
  • Amazon Web Services Partner Network
    • Through this partnership, Katalyst was able to leverage benefits like Innovation Sandbox to help with the development of new thought leadership.
  • Katalyst joined forces with other companies and created several new partnerships!
    • Taylor & Francis
      • Together with Taylor & Francis, Nova Techset-Katalyst was able to create an entirely new copyediting process called Contextual Copyediting, which uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) and natural language processing to assess and score the language quality of articles accepted into the Taylor & Francis journals workflow to determine a customized level of editorial intervention.
    • Easy Metrics
      • From its partnership with Easy Metrics, Katalyst has worked to improve efficiency, bring transparency to labor management processes, and reduce costs for our clients.
    • bioRxiv Data Conversion Services
      • Having been chosen by Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory’s preprint sever bioRxiv to deliver content to its server in full-text XML, Katalyst has been able to make every article in its archive fully searchable
    • OutSystems
      • Partnering with OutSystems allowed Katalyst to deliver a fully debugged application that normally takes a development team many years to produce, reducing turnaround time and costs for clients.
  • Great Place to Work® and FORTUNE honored Katalyst Software Services Limited as one of the 2018 Best Workplaces in Chicago, and one of 2018’s Best Small and Medium Workplaces.
  • Katalyst added new employees by expanding our heavy construction equipment engineering group!
  • We promoted our Head of Industrial Machinery, Bhavik Shah, to Vice President of Global Engineering and Manufacturing

As we begin 2019 and leave 2018 behind, Katalyst continues to look forward to the future and a new year of building competencies and relationships, developing more solutions, and achieving new successes and milestones.
